There, much to my surprise, plastered on a wall
was a Perry Mason (Raymond Burr) objecting. If you grew up on American
TV (or got to catch in reruns), you know that objecting is what Perry
did best and most. And, he never lost a trial. Why he was registering an
objection on this wall, I'm not sure. However, this being Paris,
perhaps there was something of the surreal at play here. Or, maybe old
Perry was trying to spring the poor fellow beneath him from behind bars
(that's my bet).
St. Germain, Paris.
