Gob Squad's Kitchen (You've Never Had It So Good) - Nina Tecklenburg

A significant rethinking of an image I shot about a year ago at the production of "Gob Squad's Kitchen (You've Never Had It So Good)" at the Public Theater in NYC.

This is one of the actresses in the play, Nina Tecklenburg.

The play and the manner of its production was aimed at capturing the ethos (rather goofy and absurd ethos, I might add) of Andy Warhol's Kitchen at about the time he was shooting a lot of movies of people basically doing nothing (except perhaps squirming in the most interesting fashion before the camera in long, static takes).

Anyway, the audience was encouraged to walk on stage before the play actually begins; a process made much more interesting by the fact that the actors were already in character, as Nina was here. A very enjoyable show that was punctuated by lots of improvisation, including a significant and hilarious bit of audience participation at the end.
