Can We Stop Poverty? Who knows. But, possibly not in Southbury, where there are roads names Poverty and North Poverty. At the end of North Poverty Road, there is a federally-subsidized housing development (with funding from HUD and the Department of Agriculture). An unfortunate name for the road. It possibly dates back to when this was all farmland. Perhaps Irony Road would be more apt.
