An odd sight, only because of where this is -- Seaside Heights, New
Jersey, home to the boardwalk and all of its attendent amusement
attractions.
This trailer, used for a transporting a portable tilt-a-whirl ride to
carnivals, is a reminder that Seaside and the Jersey Shore still have
much in need of recover following Hurricane Sandy (super storm, shuper
shtorm ... blah, blah, blah ... it was damned hurricane).
Now, one might legitimately debate the wisdom of rebuilding -- and
some very intelligent folks have -- but the fact that someone had to
cart in an amusement ride to an area known for its amusement rides is
nothing, if not a reminder of the damage wrought by the storm.
Should I stay or should I go now?
(Wanna buy a house?)
