The Digital Divide or How Not to Enjoy a Live Concert

To the lady seated next to us at the PNC (formerly Garden State) Arts Center for the James Taylor concert last night:

We sincerely hope you enjoyed the music as you checked email, visited Facebook, updated your address book, paid bills online, ordered some fuzzy slippers and a lacy negligée, read an eBook and played Candy Crush on your phone for virtually the entirety of the performance. At least you didn't make any calls.

Personally, I found it odd that you actually took a respite from the digital domain during the intermission, using the break to actually look at the stage. How can you have such a short attention span that you abandoned your phone for those fifteen minutes? Shame on you.
