Billy Burg Hipsters Hangin' (Basking in the Warmth of His Own Glow)

Williamsburg Brooklyn, NY, July 2009.
The title of the shot a cheap riff on the name of the owner of a rather famous (and eponymous) club in Hollywood where Charlie Parker played during his rather ill-fated trip to lotus land. These hipsters are victims of a time warp of their own. The fellow in the see-through shirt was posing even before he spotted me aiming a camera at him, as if life is nothing but a street show and all the world is his audience. To cool to sweat, no doubt, on blisteringly hot day in the city.
